TÜİK releases statistics: Number of paid employees increased annually in June
The number of paid employees increased by 3.4 percent in June compared to the same month last year.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released the paid employee statistics for June.
Accordingly, the total number of paid employees in the industrial, construction, and trade-services sectors increased by 3.4 percent annually in June, reaching 15 million 601 thousand 552 people. This figure was recorded as 15 million 82 thousand 853 people in June of last year.
When looking at the sub-details of paid employees, the number of paid employees in June increased annually by 0.1 percent in the industrial sector, 8.8 percent in the construction sector, and 4.4 percent in the trade-services sector.
The total number of paid employees in the industrial, construction, and trade-services sectors decreased by 0.4 percent on a monthly basis in June.
When looking at the sub-details, a monthly decrease of 0.8 percent in the industrial sector, 0.4 percent in the construction sector, and 0.1 percent in the trade-services sector was observed in the number of paid employees in June.
