Türk-İş heads to elections: Will Ergün Atalay run?
Türk-İş, Turkey's largest labor confederation by membership, is preparing for its ordinary general assembly next week. It has been learned that the current president, Ergün Atalay, will be the sole candidate at the general assembly.
Türk-İş will hold its presidential election during its ordinary general assembly next week.
The 24th Ordinary General Assembly will be held from November 30 to December 2. It is being suggested that there may be some changes to the board of directors. As in previous years, politicians have not been invited to the general assembly. This issue is being criticized by some union presidents.
At the general assembly, where Ergün Atalay will be the sole candidate, the resolution that “Touching severance pay is a cause for a general strike” will be adopted once again.
