US chip company Nvidia to acquire Israeli firm Run:ai
US chip company Nvidia has announced that it will acquire the Israeli startup Run:ai.
In a blog post shared by Nvidia, it was announced that an agreement has been reached to acquire the software provider Run:ai in order to help customers use artificial intelligence computing resources more efficiently.
Pointing out that managing and orchestrating generative AI, recommendation systems, search engines, and other workloads requires complex scheduling, the post noted that the Israeli company Run:ai allows enterprise customers to manage and optimize their computing infrastructure on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid environments.
Although no financial details regarding the agreement signed with Run:ai were shared in the post, reports in US media stated that the value of the acquisition is approximately 700 million dollars.
