What happened to the additional pension increase following the announcement of January inflation?

The increase rate, which was initially raised to 42.57 percent, was finally increased to 49.25 percent following the announcement by Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan. The lowest pension was increased to 10 thousand liras.

MINISTER ANNOUNCES THE DATE FOR ADDITIONAL INCREASE PAYMENTS

Minister Vedat Işıkhan announced the date when the additional pension increase differences will be paid.

Işıkhan announced that the monthly difference amounts for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees and beneficiaries will be paid on February 6 and 7.

While retirees received their salaries in January based on a 37.57 percent increase, an 11.68 difference emerged following two consecutive increases. 

The amount corresponding to this difference is a matter of curiosity. According to the news in Ekonomim, the additional pension increase difference will be as follows:

The lowest worker pension for those with insurance entry before 2000 will rise from 7 thousand 616 liras to 11 thousand 366 liras, and a difference of 3 thousand 750 liras will be deposited

The new pension of a retiree with a base pension of 10 thousand liras will be 14 thousand 925 liras with a 49.25 percent increase. A difference of 1168 liras will be deposited

A retiree with a base pension of 12 thousand 500 liras will receive 18 thousand 656 liras. A difference of 1402 liras will be deposited. A difference of 1460 liras will be deposited

A retiree with a base pension of 15 thousand liras will receive 22 thousand 387 liras. A difference of 1752 liras will be deposited

The new salary of a retiree with a base pension of 20 thousand liras will be deposited into their account as 29 thousand 850 liras. A difference of 2336 liras will be deposited

The new salary of a retiree with a base pension of 25 thousand TL will be deposited into the account as 37 thousand 312 liras. The difference will be 2920 liras

PAYMENTS FOR WIDOWS AND ORPHANS

Payments for widows and orphans receiving monthly payments from SSK and Bağ-Kur are also made based on the 37.57 percent increase.

Within the scope of the 7500 lira base pension regulation, at least 5 thousand 625 liras are paid to those with a 75 percent death benefit rate, 3 thousand 750 liras to those with 50 percent, and at least 1875 liras to those with 25 percent.

Those with a 75 percent death benefit rate will receive 7500 liras, those with 50 percent will receive 5 thousand liras, and those with 25 percent will receive 2500 liras.
