What is the latest situation in housing prices? Price index announced
According to April data released by the CBRT, housing prices increased by 32.9 percent on an annual basis. However, real prices have been declining against inflation for 15 months.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) has published the Residential Property Price Index data for April 2025. Accordingly, housing prices rose by 1.5 percent in April compared to the previous month.
The nominal increase in housing prices compared to the same period last year was 32.9 percent.
REAL PRICES HAVE BEEN DECLINING FOR 15 MONTHS
Despite the nominal increase, inflation-adjusted (real) housing prices declined by 3.6 percent in the same period. Thus, the streak of real decline has reached its 15th consecutive month.
