Macroeconomic data, which had not been released for some time due to the US federal government shutdown, has begun to be published again. In this context, non-farm payroll data for November has been presented to the public.
According to the data, non-farm employment increased by 64 thousand in November, while the unemployment rate was recorded at 4.6 percent.
Employment figures could not be released in October due to a lack of data. In September, non-farm employment had increased by 119 thousand, and the unemployment rate was determined to be 4.4 percent.
With the release of the November data, rapid reactions were observed in the markets. While gold prices rose, the dollar index declined. Gold per ounce, which was trading around 4,300 dollars before the data, rose to 4,313 dollars after the announcement. The dollar index, which had fallen to 98 points before the data, was trading at the 97.90 point level after the announcement.
