The median expectation of the 24 institutions participating in the survey is for the policy rate to be held steady at 45 percent.
In the March interest rate forecasts, the highest expectation pointed to 50 percent, while the lowest estimate stood at 45 percent.
In this survey period, 17 institutions shared their interest rate forecasts for the end of 2024. Accordingly, the market's forecast for the policy rate at the end of 2024, as of March, was 45 percent.
