Which investment instruments gained and which lost this week? (Stock market, gold, euro, dollar)
Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul recorded an average weekly increase of 0.34 percent, while the gram price of gold rose by 3.84 percent, the dollar/TL by 1.17 percent, and the euro/TL by 1.23 percent.
The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 8,749.00 and a high of 9,336.02 points, completed the week at 9,142.40 points, gaining 0.34 percent in value compared to the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar rose by 3.84 percent this week to 2,327 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold increased by 8.92 percent to 16,402 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 3,683 liras last weekend, rose to 4,200 liras.
This week, the US dollar gained 1.17 percent in value to reach 32.3860 liras, and the euro rose by 1.23 percent to 35.0580 liras.
Investment funds lost 0.29 percent and individual pension funds lost 0.26 percent in value this week. When viewed by category, the best-performing investment funds were "Money Market" funds with a 0.93 percent gain.
