Which investment instruments gained and which lost this week? Stocks, gold, or foreign currency?
Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul lost an average of 2.59 percent and the dollar/TL rate lost 0.04 percent on a weekly basis, while the euro/TL rate gained 0.21 percent and the gram price of gold gained 0.37 percent.
The BIST 100 index on the stock exchange completed the week at 10,400.48 points, losing 2.59 percent compared to the previous week's close, after seeing a low of 10,358.55 and a high of 10,758.92 points.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 0.37 percent this week to 2,430 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 1.33 percent to 16,190 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 4,010 liras last weekend, fell to 3,975 liras.
This week, the US dollar lost 0.04 percent in value, falling to 32.2160 liras, while the euro rose by 0.21 percent to 35.0330 liras.
Investment funds lost 0.20 percent and individual pension funds lost 0.40 percent in value this week.
When viewed by category, the best-performing investment funds were "Money Market" funds with a gain of 0.97 percent.
