Which investment instruments gained and which lost this week? Those who invested here are smiling
Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul recorded an average weekly decrease of 1.63 percent and the euro/TL decreased by 0.19 percent, while the gram price of gold increased by 1.59 percent and the dollar/TL increased by 0.12 percent.
The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,865.74 points and a high of 10,159.14 points, completed the week at 9,910.61 points, 1.63 percent below the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 1.59 percent this week to 3,060 liras, and the selling price of republic gold rose by 1.58 percent to 20,752 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 5,045 liras last weekend, increased by 1.61 percent to 5,126 liras.
This week, the US dollar gained 0.12 percent in value to reach 35.4110 liras, while the euro fell by 0.19 percent to 36.3310 liras.
Investment funds gained 0.42 percent and pension funds gained 0.48 percent in value this week.
When viewed by category, the top performers among investment funds were "money market" funds with 0.91 percent.
