Which investment vehicle was the top performer of the week? (Gold, foreign currency, stock market)
While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul rose by an average of 1.71 percent, the dollar/TL exchange rate by 0.39 percent, and the gram price of gold by 5.49 percent on a weekly basis, the euro/TL exchange rate fell by 0.80 percent.
The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,023.38 and a high of 9,550.63 points, completed the week at 9,549.89 points, up 1.71 percent from the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 5.49 percent this week to 3,000 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 5.41 percent to 20,350 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 4,764 liras at the end of last week, increased by 5.48 percent to 5,025 liras.

This week, the US dollar gained 0.39 percent in value to reach 34.5500 liras, while the euro fell by 0.80 percent to 36.0330 liras.
Investment funds gained 0.55 percent and pension funds gained 0.56 percent this week.
When viewed by category, the top-performing investment funds were "Precious Metals" funds with a gain of 4.89 percent.
