GİB HAD ANNOUNCED!
According to the announcement on the Revenue Administration's website, as part of the efforts to combat the informal economy carried out by the Ministry, the GİB's website, Digital Tax Office, GİB Mobile, and Tax Communication Center (VİMER) (189) services have been updated to allow citizens to make reports and complaints easily, quickly, and at any time (24/7).
The Administration has also launched the "BİP Tax Report Service," X and Instagram reporting accounts (via "DM-Direct Message" on "gibihbar"), and a WhatsApp Reporting Line (05521890189).
Citizens using these channels can report tax issues such as the application of low VAT rates, requests for payment via IBAN/PTT check, failure to provide receipts/invoices, use of another business's POS device, lack of tax registration, issuance or use of fake/misleading documents, payment of personnel wages in cash, failure to declare rental income, underpayment of title deed fees, and the sale of illegal products.
On the other hand, citizens who wish to request information about audit procedures must make their reports and complaints by calling the VİMER reporting line (189) or by obtaining a registration number from the Tax Reporting section on gib.gov.tr or the Digital Tax Office.
