According to a report by Eray Kalelioğlu from Webtekno, Chery, which recently made headlines due to a change in its distributor, has now seen a development focused on Turkey. Important figures such as Chinese Ambassador İsmail Hakkı Musa, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Zekeriya Çoştu, and President of the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu also attended the visit. The main theme of the meeting was the development and planning of new-generation vehicles in Turkey.
Although no official statement has been made regarding the details of the visit, it is emphasized that this development is significant. The possibility of Chery establishing a factory in Turkey includes using Turkey as a shipment base for Europe. During the visit, which was attended by key figures such as Chery Group Chairman Yin Tongyue, Chery International President Zhang Guibing, and Chery Turkey General Manager Fenghuo Si, it was also revealed that Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır test-drove the OMODA E5.
