Wind energy leads Turkey's electricity production!

According to data from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), 773 thousand 260 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced and 767 thousand 527 megawatt-hours were consumed on February 11, 2024. The highest consumption occurred at 20:00 with 36 thousand 963 megawatt-hours, while the lowest consumption was recorded at 08:00 with 28 thousand 391 megawatt-hours.

Wind energy leads Turkey's electricity production!

In Turkey, daily electricity production was recorded at 773 thousand 260 megawatt-hours yesterday, while consumption stood at 767 thousand 527 megawatt-hours.

According to data from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), the highest electricity consumption yesterday occurred at 20:00 with 36 thousand 963 megawatt-hours, while the lowest consumption was recorded at 08:00 with 28 thousand 391 megawatt-hours.

Wind power plants took the largest share in production with 26.7 percent. They were followed by dam-based hydroelectric power plants with 18 percent and imported coal power plants with 17.9 percent.

Additionally, Turkey exported 6 thousand 99 megawatt-hours of electricity yesterday, while 396 megawatt-hours of electricity were imported.
