The economic sizes of the world's leading airlines have been ranked using Companiesmarketcap data. The rise of Turkish Airlines (THY) in the global league of the international aviation industry has been confirmed once again with the new list. Impressing with a fleet that has reached 531 aircraft, THY secured a spot in the top 20, leaving behind significant competitors.

THY HAS LEFT ITS GIANT COMPETITORS BEHIND

Turkish Airlines found its place at 17th on the list with a market capitalization of 9.72 billion dollars. With this achievement, THY reached a higher valuation than global giant companies such as American Airlines and Japan Airlines. The company, which has made a name for itself in the international aviation sector with its investments, new acquisitions, and fleet expansion strategies in recent years, has further solidified its position in global competition.

US GIANTS ARE AT THE TOP

The top of the list is occupied by the US-based Delta Air Lines. Delta Air Lines maintained its leading position with a market capitalization measured at 46.05 billion dollars. United Airlines Holdings is in second place with 37.69 billion dollars, while Ryanair entered the list from Europe at the highest position in third place with a value of 36.44 billion dollars. The top 10 also included International Airlines Group (IAG), Southwest Airlines, Air China, InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo), China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, and Singapore Airlines.

In the list where Turkish Airlines, which makes Turkey proud, is in 17th place, there are also powerful companies such as Lufthansa, Qantas, Cathay Pacific, and ANA Holdings. American Airlines and Japan Airlines took the 18th and 19th spots on the list. Spring Airlines completed the top 20.
