Zorlu sells energy distribution company for $200 million
Zorlu Holding has announced that it has sold all of its shares in Zorlu Enerji Dağıtım AŞ to Gaztrak Enerji, a subsidiary of Palmet Enerji, for $200 million.
According to the statement made by Zorlu Enerji to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the company has sold all of its shares in its 100% owned subsidiary, Zorlu Enerji Dağıtım AŞ, to Gaztrak Enerji AŞ, a 100% owned subsidiary of Palmet Enerji AŞ, for a total of $200 million, equivalent to 6.38 billion TL.
It was stated that the sale was completed on March 12.
According to the statement, the USD/TL exchange rate used for the sale was 31.8767.
The statement reported that the transaction was realized by deducting financial and commercial liabilities totaling 2.81 billion TL from the sale price, with the remaining 3.57 billion TL being paid in cash and in advance by the buyer.
