Gassal series breaks records: 4 million people watched the first episode

"Gassal," which is broadcast on TRT's digital platform Tabii and stars Ahmet Kural, has reached a large audience in a short time. The series tells the story of a mortician who is preoccupied with the question, "Who will wash me when I die?" blending dark humor and drama.

The first episode of the series, which has made a big splash on social media since the day it was released, has been watched nearly 4 million times on Tabii's official YouTube channel. Additionally, the series' music video titled "İçim Yanar" also drew attention by reaching 3.5 million views within 7 days.

SECOND SEASON FILMING COMPLETED

Following the great success of the series' first season, filming for the second season has been completed. In the new season of the series, directed by Selçuk Aydemir, the lead roles will be shared by Ahmet Kural and Hande Soral. Furthermore, veteran actors Ercan Kesal, Nazan Kesal, and Serhat Kılıç will also be part of the cast. Surprise developments await viewers in the new season.

POSTER HAD DRAWN CRITICISM

The series' promotional posters also drew attention. The posters displayed on billboards in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, which featured the text "Who will wash me when I die?" without any institutional name or information, became a subject of curiosity on social media and sparked reactions. However, it was soon understood that these posters were advertisements for the "Gassal" series.
