The most used bridge in Turkey has been identified
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu has announced the bridges with the highest traffic volume. Accordingly, the bridges with the highest density in Turkey are the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and the 15 July Martyrs Bridge.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu evaluated the 2023 Traffic Volume Data statistics of the General Directorate of Highways.
Uraloğlu stated, "We have connected our country from east to west and north to south with high-standard divided roads. Our citizens now prefer highways for their journeys as well."

Pointing out that measurements taken on the road network under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways across the country show an increase in traffic volumes in metropolitan crossings and regional service axes such as the Black Sea Coastal Road, Minister Uraloğlu noted the following:
The highest traffic volume occurred on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and the 15 July Martyrs Bridge. The traffic volume on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge was 240 thousand, while it was 190 thousand on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge. In some sections of the Istanbul-Tekirdağ State Road, the Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) amount exceeded 100 thousand. It exceeds 70 thousand at various points of the Istanbul-Kocaeli State Road. Traffic on the road section providing connection to Istanbul Airport exceeded 100 thousand."

Making statements regarding the sections where Annual Average Daily Traffic amounts are high, Minister Uraloğlu said:
"In some sections under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways in the city center of Izmir, traffic exceeded 70 thousand. Traffic exceeds 100 thousand in sections of the Konya city crossing. It exceeded 100 thousand in some sections on the Ankara-Sincan-Yenikent route. In some sections of the route providing access to Ankara Airport, the daily number of vehicles exceeded 70 thousand. 80 thousand vehicles traveled between Ankara and Gölbaşı every day. More than 60 thousand vehicles used the Ankara-Temelli Road, which connects Ankara to the Polatlı side, every day."
