It was announced that schools were closed in the Başakşehir, Esenyurt, Beykoz, Avcılar, Arnavutköy, Sultangazi, Beylikdüzü, Küçükçekmece, and Büyükçekmece districts of Istanbul.
In the statement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office, it was stated: "The snowfall affecting the northern districts of Istanbul is not affecting the southern and central districts of the city. Therefore, there is no general suspension of education in the city. However, decisions regarding the suspension of education in districts where snowfall is heavy have been taken by the District Public Health Boards. In line with this, education has been suspended for one day on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in the Başakşehir, Esenyurt, Beykoz, Avcılar, Arnavutköy, Sultangazi, Beylikdüzü, Küçükçekmece, and Büyükçekmece districts by the decision of the District Public Health Boards."
