Breaking News... Ministry of National Education announces: Schools closed on April 1
The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has announced that schools will be closed on April 1 due to the local elections on March 31.
Schools have been closed on April 1 due to the local elections on March 31, 2024.
The Ministry of National Education (MEB) stated in a letter sent to governorates: "Educational institutions are being prepared to allow voters to cast their ballots, serving a purpose different from their primary function, for the Local Administration General Elections to be held on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Due to the nature of the elections, the counting of votes concludes late in the evening, which prevents educational institutions from being made ready for education and training on the same day. For this reason, educational institutions affiliated with our Ministry have been closed on Monday, April 1, 2024, to allow them to be prepared for education and training."
