Europe's best universities announced: 21 schools from Turkey are on the list

The QS World University Rankings has ranked Europe's top 500 universities by taking into account many areas such as the number of international publications, international research networks, and sustainability.

Among 500 schools, 21 schools from Turkey managed to secure a place on the list.

ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute of Technology has been named the best university in Europe. Imperial College London took second place, while the University of Oxford ranked third.

WHICH UNIVERSITIES FROM TURKEY ARE ON THE LIST?

According to the QS rankings, the best university in Turkey is METU. Following METU, which ranked 114th on the list, Istanbul Technical University (ITU) placed 123rd, and Koç University ranked 159th.

Meanwhile, METU, ITU, and Koç University have entered the list of Europe's top 50 universities in terms of employer reputation.

According to a report by NTV; QS Senior Vice President Ben Sowter stated, "Turkish universities have risen, driven by their growing international reputation. This increasing prestige continues to elevate them to the highest tiers of excellence in global higher education. Sustaining and improving this performance will position Turkey to compete with the world's top higher education systems in the coming years."
