Snowfall continues to intensify across the country. It has been decided to suspend education in many provinces and districts due to adverse weather conditions. Governor's offices have shared the decisions taken for the safety of students and public employees with the public.

EDUCATION SUSPENDED IN ZONGULDAK

Educational activities have been halted in Zonguldak due to the storm, rain, and snowfall expected to intensify. In a statement made on the Governor's Office's social media account, it was announced that education has been suspended in all official and private formal and non-formal education institutions on Monday, December 29.

The statement also noted that private nurseries, day care centers, children's clubs, and rehabilitation centers, as well as e-exams planned across the province, have been canceled. It was also conveyed that disabled and pregnant public personnel will be considered on administrative leave on the same day. It was recalled that the General Directorate of Meteorology had issued a yellow code warning for the city.

SCHOOLS CLOSED IN BEYTÜŞŞEBAP DISTRICT OF ŞIRNAK

Education has been suspended for one day in the Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak due to heavy snowfall. In the announcement made by the District Governorate, it was stated that measures were taken against the risk of icing and frost.

The announcement included the following statements:

"Due to the ongoing snowfall, considering the risks that may arise from icing and frost, and in order to ensure the life and property safety of our students, teachers, and all educational staff, education has been suspended for 1 day in all official and private schools throughout our district in accordance with Articles 27 and 72 of the Public Health Law No. 1593."

SCHOOL CLOSURE DECISION FOR ALL SCHOOLS IN KASTAMONU

In Kastamonu, education was suspended in all schools in some regions due to snowfall, while only bussed education was halted in some districts. According to the Governor's Office statement, there will be no education on Monday, December 29, in the city center and many districts.

While it was stated that bussed education would not be applicable in some districts, it was announced that disabled and pregnant public employees working in places where education is suspended would also be considered on administrative leave.

EDUCATION SUSPENDED IN ALL SCHOOLS IN VAN

The Van Governor's Office announced that education has been suspended for one day in all official and private education institutions across the province due to the ongoing risk of snowfall, icing, and fog. It was reported that in addition to disabled and pregnant personnel working in public institutions, mothers with children aged 0-6 will also be considered on administrative leave.

HEAVY SNOW AND ICING MEASURES IN BOLU

Education has been suspended for 1 day across the province in Bolu due to heavy snowfall and the risk of icing. In the Governor's Office statement, it was stated that all educational institutions, including rehabilitation centers, driving schools, and Quran courses, were included in the scope of the decision.

SCHOOLS CLOSED IN DÜZCE

Schools were closed for one day in Düzce in line with snowfall and meteorological warnings. The Governor's Office statement indicated that female personnel with children attending nursery or kindergarten, as well as disabled, pregnant, and incapacitated public employees, would also be considered on administrative leave.

BLIZZARD AND ICING WARNING IN AKSARAY

The Aksaray Governor's Office drew attention to the risk of blizzards and icing along with snowfall and announced that education has been suspended in all educational institutions across the province. It was announced that pregnant and disabled public personnel would also be on administrative leave for one day.

SCHOOLS CLOSED IN 4 DISTRICTS IN YOZGAT

Education has been suspended for one day in four districts in Yozgat due to snowfall and low air temperatures. The Governor's Office statement emphasized that the risk of icing could negatively affect transportation.

PROVINCE-WIDE CLOSURE IN MUŞ AND BİTLİS

In Muş, education has been suspended in all educational institutions, excluding universities, due to heavy snowfall and the risk of icing. Similarly, in Bitlis, schools were closed for one day across the province in line with data received from the General Directorate of Meteorology.

EDUCATION SUSPENDED IN BARTIN AND KARABÜK

It was announced that there will be no education in all educational institutions on Monday, December 29, in Bartin and Karabük due to the ongoing heavy snowfall. The Governor's offices also announced the administrative leave application for public personnel.

The Hakkari Governor's Office announced that education has been suspended across the province due to heavy snowfall and the risk of icing. The statement mentioned that administrative leave would also be applied for public officials with chronic illnesses and parents with young children.

BUSSED EDUCATION SUSPENDED IN SİNOP, AĞRI, AND MARDİN

While bussed education was suspended in some districts in Sinop, a closure decision was made for village schools and students under the scope of bussed education in Ağrı. In Mardin, education was suspended in all schools across the city due to expected snowfall.

SNOW MEASURES IN ÇANKIRI, BİNGÖL, KIRŞEHİR, AND ŞANLIURFA

In Çankırı, all schools were closed in some districts, while bussed education was halted in some regions. While education was suspended in some districts of Bingöl due to the risk of icing, primary and secondary schools were closed across the province in Kırşehir. In Şanlıurfa, it was announced that education was suspended across the city, with the exception of some districts.
