Millions of students await news: ÖSYM has still not announced YKS results

COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN FOR UNIVERSITY REGISTRATION

The placement results, which concern 2.5 million YKS candidates, are critical for students to complete their university registration, which is set to begin between September 1-5. However, the fact that the results have not yet been announced is leaving students in a difficult position.

At a time when the results should have been announced within a week, the fact that ÖSYM has still not made an announcement has drawn major public backlash. While students wait in uncertainty regarding when the results will be released, families are also anxiously awaiting the announcement.

CHP's Mahmut Tanal issued sharp criticisms of ÖSYM via social media. Stating that the uncertainty facing students is unacceptable, Tanal expressed his reaction by saying, "Why are the ÖSYM results not being announced? Students have been left in uncertainty for days. University registrations, dormitory applications, and school preparations are just around the corner, yet there are still no results. This indifference disregards the future of our youth! ÖSYM must announce the results immediately!"

Tanal continued, "Families are anxious; state institutions must act with seriousness. The fate of our youth should not be toyed with!"

"AN ÖSYM THAT CANNOT ANNOUNCE RESULTS"

Educator Abbas Güçlü also reacted sharply to the failure to announce the YKS results. In a statement on his social media account, Güçlü criticized ÖSYM's stance, stating, "An institution that expects candidates to read, understand, solve, and correctly mark a one-page question on an answer sheet in one minute, disqualifies those who are just a few minutes late, and strives to make accurate and error-free placements, has been unable to announce the results for two weeks. This is truly unacceptable."
