Minister of National Education Tekin: 'Life is a journey greater than grades'
Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, reminding students entering the semester break that a report card is merely a document showing academic success for a single term, stated, "Your report card cannot measure your true potential, your imagination, or your contributions to humanity. Likewise, it does not diminish your value in the eyes of your families or us in any way."
Minister Tekin released a message to students, teachers, and parents on the occasion of the semester break. Stating that he shares the excitement of the students as the first half of the 2024-2025 academic year concludes, Tekin wished all students and teachers a happy holiday.
Pointing out that the steps they have taken—from the Century of Turkey Education Model implemented in line with the Century of Turkey vision to policies prioritizing vocational education, digital transformation efforts, and AI-supported learning models—have created a peaceful, safe, and supportive educational environment in the short term, Tekin expressed his belief that this innovative and human-centered approach will provide a deep-rooted transformation in the education system in the long term.

Thanking students, teachers, administrators, and parents, Minister Tekin gave the following message to the students:
"Remember, a report card is only a document showing academic success for one term. It cannot measure your true potential, your imagination, or your contribution to the ideals of humanity. Furthermore, it does not diminish your value in the eyes of your families or us in any way. Life is a much more comprehensive journey than exams and grades. What matters is that you see learning and development as a lifelong journey and make every experience a valuable part of this process. The power of learning grows with curiosity, perseverance, and a determination for continuous renewal."
Tekin stated that the holiday period should be seen not only as a time for rest but also as an opportunity to rediscover your surroundings and the meanings of life. He noted that they have prepared accessible holiday books to support students during the break and that they will offer opportunities to experience the value of production, labor, and patience through craft workshops that will remain open throughout the holiday.
