Opportunity for 3-year graduation coming to universities
The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) is working on a new regulation that will allow successful students to complete their university education in 3 years.
YÖK is preparing to announce the "Roadmap for Turkish Higher Education Towards 2030" regarding the future of higher education in Turkey. In this context, YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar addressed the ongoing discussions regarding education durations and provided information about the new regulations.
Özvar stated that they are planning to develop a system that allows successful students in higher education to graduate in a shorter time. "We aim to implement a regulation that will allow our successful students at our universities to graduate in 3 years. However, I would like to emphasize that we will not compromise on the quality standards of higher education in Turkey during this process," he said. Özvar also added that the details of the regulation will be shared with the public in the coming days.
