Due to the expected adverse weather conditions in Istanbul, many universities have suspended education for one day.
Among the universities that have suspended education are Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), Yıldız Technical University (YTÜ), Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Boğaziçi University, Marmara University, Galatasaray University, and the Turkish-German University.
Students who have to commute to campuses from areas far from the city center expressed that they found this decision appropriate for safety reasons.
