Universities in Istanbul closed: Here are the schools suspending education
Following a yellow-coded weather warning from the General Directorate of Meteorology, several universities in Istanbul have suspended education for one day due to adverse weather conditions.

Among the universities that have suspended education are Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), Yıldız Technical University (YTÜ), Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Boğaziçi University, Marmara University, Galatasaray University, and the Turkish-German University.
Students who have to commute to campuses from areas far from the city center expressed that they found this decision appropriate for safety reasons. University administrations announced that they will continue to provide necessary updates to ensure that students and academic staff are not inconvenienced.
