Harsh 'Imam Hatip' criticism from Metin Külünk to the AKP: 'Muslims cannot provide the answers to these questions'

While the government's education policies are frequently criticized by both educators and parents, a notable criticism has also come from within the AKP wing.

With the AKP coming to power, and particularly with the increase in Imam Hatip high schools, class hours in basic sciences were reduced, and many subjects, especially philosophy, became elective.

Most recently, speaking on the program 'Filtresiz' with Özge Uzun, former AKP MP for the 24th, 25th, and 26th terms Metin Külünk made striking criticisms.

'THERE CAN BE NO EDUCATION SYSTEM WITHOUT PHILOSOPHY'

Addressing the AKP by saying, "They shouldn't take offense," Külünk noted the following:

"What is the secret to victory? It lies in these two things: a revolution of the mind, the liberation of the mind, and the freedom of intelligence. So what must we do? They shouldn't take offense; there can be no education system where philosophy is not a core subject, where mathematics is not a core subject, where chemistry is not a core subject, where physics is not a core subject, where biology is not a core subject, and where anthropology, mythology, and archaeology are not core subjects.
