YÖK announces: Increase in scholarship amounts!
The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) has announced an increase in the amounts for the Doctoral Support Scholarship and the Undergraduate Support Scholarship.
YÖK has increased the scholarships it provides to support students pursuing undergraduate and graduate studies in priority areas and specific programs, effective from April 2024, at the upper limit.
Accordingly, the 100/2000 YÖK Doctoral Scholarship has been raised from 7,500 TL to 12,000 TL for students who are not employed, and from 2,500 TL to 4,000 TL for those who are employed.
The 100/2000 YÖK Doctoral Scholarship is provided to meet the need for doctoral-level human resources capable of producing qualified knowledge in priority areas.
Within this scope, students studying in doctoral programs at state universities are supported by the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education.
The YÖK Undergraduate Support Scholarship, awarded to students who place in the top three and enroll in undergraduate programs at state universities determined by the Council of Higher Education, has been increased from 1,875 TL to 3,000 TL, while the scholarship for undergraduate students studying in Basic Sciences Excellence Classes (TEBİP-Undergraduate) has been raised from 2,000 TL to 3,000 TL.
