In the Güroymak district of Bitlis, the municipality won by the New Welfare Party (YRP) has flipped to the AKP following a recount of the votes. The AKP candidate, who was 2 votes behind before the recount, won the election by a margin of 5 votes.
In the Güroymak district of Bitlis, the mayor changed following a recount of the votes as a result of an objection.
According to the unofficial results, AKP candidate Eşref Mutlu had received 4,290 votes, New Welfare Party (YRP) candidate Emrullah Yıldırım had received 4,292 votes, and DEM Party candidate Mehmet Şirin Üncü had received 4,206 votes.
IT WAS 2 VOTES BEHIND, MOVED 6 VOTES AHEAD AND WON
Upon the objections filed, the election board decided to recount the 62 ballot boxes where 14,107 voters had cast their ballots. As a result of the recount, the vote count for AKP candidate Mutlu increased by 13 to 4,303, the vote count for New Welfare Party candidate Yıldırım increased by 5 to 4,297, and the DEM Party's vote count increased by 15 to 4,221.
According to these results, the Mayor of Güroymak became the AKP candidate Eşref Mutlu.
