It has been stated that the YENİ Party and CHP will not nominate candidates in Ataşehir.
Following the operations, the balance in the municipal council had shifted after 6 CHP council members switched to the AKP.
According to the current municipal council arithmetic, in the council which consists of 17 CHP members (3 of whom are restricted), 16 AKP members, and 2 MHP members, the restricted council members will not be able to vote. It is anticipated that the municipality will pass to the AKP in the election to be held today.
ELECTION TO BE HELD
An election will be held in Ataşehir Municipality following the arrest of Deputy Mayor Murat Güneş.
