Body of woman missing for 18 days found in barn
In the Gediz district of Kütahya, the body of a 52-year-old mother of three, who had been missing for 18 days, was found in a barn belonging to a relative near her home. It was learned that the barn in question had been searched many times previously.
The body of 52-year-old Asiye Günay, a mother of three who lived in Akkaya village in the Gediz district of Kütahya and had not been heard from since October 18, was found by a relative among hay bales in a barn near her home.
Upon notification of the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
Günay's lifeless body was taken to the Gediz State Hospital morgue following the prosecutor's examination.
It was learned that the barn in question had been searched many times previously.
Search operations had been initiated for Asiye Günay by the Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, the gendarmerie, and search and rescue teams affiliated with various institutions and organizations.
Despite efforts conducted within the village and in the forested area, no trace of Günay had been found.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
