Full support for CHP from the youth! AKP falls 7 points behind
In a survey conducted by ORC Research targeting young voters, the CHP ranked first with 27.6 percent. The CHP, which left the AKP 7 points behind, received strong support from the youth following the arrest of mayors.
Young people reacted harshly to the arrest and removal from office of the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
Expressing their reaction to the fact that 299 young people are also still in detention, the youth voiced this situation in the election survey.
According to ORC Research's April survey, the CHP took the top spot in the voting preferences of the youth. The point difference between the CHP and the AKP was 7.
ORC conducted the research between April 3-7 using the CATI method with 2,650 voters aged 17-29 in 28 provinces.
While the youth supported the CHP, whose mayors were arrested, the AKP's rate was 20.6 percent.
The Victory Party (Zafer Partisi) received 11 percent, the DEM Party 8.5 percent, the MHP 6.5 percent, the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah) 5.5 percent, the A Party 4.9 percent, the IYI Party 4.2 percent, the TİP 3.6 percent, the BBP 2.5 percent, and the Local and National Party (Yerli ve Milli Parti) 2.1 percent of the votes.
Support for other parties was 3.1 percent.
