Owner of the boat that exploded in Bodrum turns out to be a famous businessman

In the Bodrum district of Muğla, a yacht preparing for the holiday break suffered a major explosion during refueling as it was getting ready to depart for Göcek. In the incident, where the approximately 15-meter-long yacht caught fire, a total of 3 people were injured, one of whom was on land.

According to the report by Sabah newspaper reporter Evren Abdullahoğlu, the owner of the luxury yacht, which was heavily damaged as a result of the explosion, is Hüseyin Yücel, a businessman who also owns Bahçeşehir College and Uğur Schools. It was learned that the yacht, named "Aslan" and belonging to the Yücel family, bears the name of Hüseyin Yücel's son.

It was stated that Hüseyin Yücel was not on the boat at the time of the explosion. Yücel, who planned to spend the holiday with his family in Göcek, was reportedly waiting for the boat to arrive when the incident occurred. It was reported that the health condition of the people injured in the incident is improving.

Hüseyin Yücel is known not only for his investments in the field of education but also for his role in the sports community. Yücel, who previously served as the second president on the board of Beşiktaş JK, competed as a presidential candidate on Serdar Adalı's list in the last club elections but lost the election to the current president, Hasan Arat.

In the investigation launched regarding the explosion, it is suspected that the fire was caused by a gas compression that occurred during refueling.
