Mehmet Çelik's name recently made headlines when his vehicle was riddled with bullets. In the attack that took place in February of this year, 35 bullets hit his vehicle, but Mehmet Çelik survived with injuries thanks to the bulletproof vest he was wearing.

It is seen that Zeynep Çelik took a photo with Chief Advisor to the President and former AKP MP Oktay Saral on Instagram, and in the caption, she thanks Oktay Saral, whom she refers to as "my very dear uncle," for his visit. It is understood from this post by Zeynep Çelik that Oktay Saral visited Yenice on March 1, approximately one month before the local elections.

On the other hand, according to reports in the local Çanakkale press, Zeynep Çelik's father, Mehmet Çelik, is a partner with Doğan Saral of the Saral family in an MDS factory in the region. Zeynep Çelik, for her part, handles the buying and selling operations for this factory.

Again according to local media, Doğan Saral hosted an iftar dinner in the town of Kalkım because his business partner Mehmet Çelik's daughter, Zeynep Çelik, was a candidate. In his speech at the dinner, Saral stated, "I support our daughter Zeynep Çelik's mayoral candidacy."
