İYİ Party's Kavuncu remains 'independent' at the ballot box: Only 3 votes cast
In the March 31 Local Elections, Buğra Kavuncu, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate for the İYİ Party, which received 0.63 percent of the vote in Istanbul, received only 3 votes from his own ballot box. Kavuncu had gone to vote with his wife and daughter.
In the March 31 Local Elections, Buğra Kavuncu, whom the İYİ Party nominated as its candidate for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), received only 3 votes from ballot box number 2254, where he cast his own vote.
Considering that Kavuncu went to the ballot box with his wife and daughter, it appears that no one else at that ballot box voted for Kavuncu.
'FREE AND INDEPENDENT' DECISION HAD BEEN TAKEN
The İYİ Party had decided to enter the March 31 local elections as "free and independent," and Buğra Kavuncu, who most recently served as the İYİ Party's Organization President, was nominated by İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener.
