Legal support from the Union of Turkish Bar Associations against election violations

The Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB) has announced that it will provide all-day legal support to citizens and ballot box observers through lawyers during the local elections to be held on March 31, 2024.

In a statement made by the TBB, it was stated that an Election Security Center has been established to ensure election security and protect the will of the voters. Volunteer lawyers who are trained in election law and serving in this center will provide legal consultancy services to citizens and ballot box observers throughout election day.

The statement made by the TBB is as follows:

"Preparations have been completed to ensure the security of votes across the country for the Local Administration Elections to be held on Sunday, March 31, 2024, and to support the reflection of the citizens' will in the ballot box in accordance with the truth.

Volunteer lawyers who are trained in election law and serving in the Election Security Center established by the TBB will provide legal support to citizens and ballot box observers throughout the day.

Reports regarding violations of election security will also be shared with the Bar Associations so that volunteer lawyers in the provinces where the problem occurs can intervene.
