Neighborhood headman dispute ended in murder: New footage emerges

The incident occurred on Monday, April 1, at approximately 22:30 on Bolluca Neighborhood Battalgazi Street.

According to allegations, the incumbent headman Ahmet Güleryüz, who was a candidate again in the Local Administration General Elections, and his relative Sabri Güleryüz, who won the headmanship in this election, encountered each other on the street. Incumbent headman candidate Ahmet Güleryüz began arguing with his relative Sabri Güleryüz due to losing the election.

FIRST A KNIFE, THEN A GUN

During the escalating argument, Sabri Güleryüz stabbed Ahmet Güleryüz. Their relatives, who learned of the incident, began arguing in the middle of the street around 01:00. The parties, who then began fighting in the middle of the street, engaged in an armed clash. Mahmut Dizman (32) and Mustafa Arslan (32) were shot during the armed fight.

ONE PERSON DIED, ONE PERSON INJURED

Police teams arriving at the scene took extensive security measures in the area. Mahmut Dizman and Mustafa Arslan, who were injured in the incident, were taken to the hospital by ambulance after initial intervention. Mustafa Arslan, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition, lost his life. While investigations into the incident continue, suspects Yakup Güleryüz, Şakir Güleryüz, and Sabri Güleryüz, along with R.B., K.B., M.G., Ö.G., T.G., and E.T., who were involved in the fight, were taken into custody.

NEW FOOTAGE HAS ALSO EMERGED

It has emerged that the armed clash, which lasted for minutes in Arnavutköy, was captured by some security cameras. In the footage, it is seen that the suspects, who arrived at the head of a street in cars, opened fire, and the people inside the house responded by firing with pistols.

PISTOLS ARE BEING EXAMINED

In the investigation launched by the Public Security Branch Directorate, the suspects, who were processed at the Homicide Bureau, were referred to the courthouse after their procedures were completed. It was learned that one injured suspect's treatment continues in the hospital. It was stated that the examination of the 7 unlicensed pistols seized from the suspects is ongoing.
