Following the Ministry of Justice's decision to revoke the restored rights of DEM Party Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Abdullah Zeydan, the Van Provincial Election Board decided to award the mayorship to the second-place candidate, AKP's Abdulahat Arvas.
