The polling company that most accurately predicted the Istanbul elections has been revealed: A bullseye within the margin of error!

According to the unofficial results of the March 31 Local Elections, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and incumbent CHP candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu received 51.09 percent of the vote, while the People's Alliance's AKP candidate Murat Kurum received 39.60 percent and the YRP's Mehmet Altınöz received 2.60 percent.

DEM Party candidates Meral Danış Beştaş and Murat Çepni received 2.11 percent, the Victory Party (Zafer Partisi) candidate Azmi Karamahmutoğlu received 2.08 percent, while the IYI Party candidate Buğra Kavuncu was able to secure 0.63 percent of the vote.

IT WAS THE COMPANY THAT PREDICTED THE CLOSEST RESULT WITHIN THE MARGIN OF ERROR

Aksoy Research, in a study conducted with 2,400 people using the Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) method published between March 27-28, shared a result of 49.9 percent for Ekrem İmamoğlu and 39.6 percent for Murat Kurum.

Thus, Aksoy Research became the polling company that best predicted the result within the margin of error.
