Who will pay the price for the election loss in the AKP? A scapegoat has been found...
Journalist Murat Yetkin wrote about who will be held accountable in the AKP, which fell to second place for the first time since 2002 in the March 31 Local Elections.
Morale is low in the AKP, which became the second party, trailing the CHP by approximately 2 points in the March 31 Local Elections.
"IT RAISES SUSPICIONS OF A CONSPIRACY"
Journalist and author Murat Yetkin stated that the first scandal after the election erupted in Van, writing: "The justification for the decision was an application made by the Ministry of Justice to the Supreme Election Council (YSK) minutes before the end of business hours on March 29, objecting to the previously lifted ban on Zeydan's right to vote and be elected. The fact that the YSK, which had previously approved Zeydan's candidacy by finding no legal obstacles, accepted the objection of the AK Party's Arvas, raises suspicions of a conspiracy within the ranks of the Ministry of Justice aimed at interfering with the election at the last minute."
"OH, THAT ŞİMŞEK!"
Noting that the search for a culprit has begun in the AKP following the March 31 defeat, Yetkin stated: "In reality, the name that AK Party members most want to blame is Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek. Oh, that Şimşek! If he had opened the valves all the way and allowed for salary increases for workers and retirees, they could have gone to the polls and won the mayoralties for the AK Party again. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz had also supported Şimşek, and those looking for a scapegoat actually knew that when President Erdoğan says 'let it be done,' it would be done at any cost."
