Following the heavy rainfall that caused flooding in many districts of Istanbul last week, weather conditions are changing once again. The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) reported in its weekly weather forecast published on Tuesday, October 20, that the rainy system has moved away from the region.
According to the report, partly cloudy and clear weather will be effective in the city in the coming days. Temperatures, which are expected to rise starting today, are forecast to reach the 20 to 22-degree range during the week.
On Tuesday, October 20, the temperature in Istanbul, measured at 15 degrees in the morning, is expected to rise to 21 degrees by noon, then drop to 16 degrees in the evening and 14 degrees at night. While no precipitation is expected in the city today, it was stated that the humidity level will vary between 55 and 80 percent.
According to AKOM's forecast, the weather will be clear and partly cloudy on Wednesday, October 21; temperatures are expected to range between 14 and 22 degrees. On Thursday, October 22, local rain showers may be seen along with partly cloudy weather. The amount of precipitation for this day is projected to be between 1 and 4 kilograms per square meter.
The possibility of local precipitation will continue on Friday, October 23. The amount of precipitation is estimated to be between 1 and 3 kilograms per square meter. No precipitation is expected across Istanbul over the weekend. It was reported that temperatures will range between 15-20 degrees on Saturday and 14-19 degrees on Sunday.
On Monday, October 26, partly cloudy weather is expected to continue, with temperatures forecast to vary between 14 and 18 degrees.
