Absolutely not used in Germany! But it is a staple of cleaning in Turkey
In Germany, chemical products like bleach are not preferred due to environmentally conscious cleaning habits. In Turkey, however, the use of bleach is extremely widespread.
Germany is among the countries that prefer nature and eco-friendly products for cleaning. Products containing heavy chemicals, especially bleach, are not used by Germans due to their harmful effects on both human health and the environment. This situation has practically become a taboo in the country.

Germans avoid this product out of concern that bleach can irritate the respiratory tract and cause skin sensitivity. Furthermore, its potential to mix into the sewage system and harm the ecosystem also plays a role in this preference.
For this reason, bleach is not sold in many supermarkets in Germany. Instead, there are special aisles offering ecological cleaning products. The use of bleach, however, is very common in Turkey. In Turkey, poisoning cases frequently occur due to improper use.
