AKOM issues heavy rain warning for Istanbul: Temperatures to drop by 6-8 degrees

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has released its weekly weather forecast report for the city. According to the report, thundery showers are expected in Istanbul on Tuesday, September 22, and Wednesday, September 23.
According to AKOM's assessment, a significant drop in air temperatures will occur starting Tuesday morning as winds strengthen from the north. Temperatures, which have been hovering between 26-28 degrees in recent days, are expected to decrease by 6-8 degrees, returning to spring-like levels.

It was reported that rainfall will be intermittent across the city, with strong thundery showers possible in some areas. Authorities advise citizens to follow the latest warnings regarding weather conditions.
