AKOM issues warning for Istanbul with specific timing: Heavy downpours and lodos are coming

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced that heavy thunderstorms and lodos will be effective across Istanbul starting from noon today. While IMM teams have completed their preparations against potential negative impacts, citizens have also been urged to take precautions.
It was stated that while light rain will be seen in the morning hours, the precipitation will increase in intensity starting at 14:00 in the afternoon, turning into thunderstorms. These rains are expected to continue until 22:00 in the evening, with 10–20 kilograms of precipitation per square meter expected to fall.
TEMPERATURE AND WIND CONDITIONS
It was reported that air temperatures will hover around 23 degrees, and the lodos will blow at speeds of 15–45 km/h, occasionally reaching storm force. Meteorology forecasts that the rains will continue intermittently on Saturday, and that the weather will clear up and become sunny starting from Sunday morning.
