Body of father who went missing at sea found, son in intensive care

Abdullah Taşlıtepe and his son Davut Taşlıtepe (24), who had come to the city from Çorum for a weekend holiday, entered the sea to cool off yesterday and disappeared from sight after a while in an area affected by strong winds.

Davut Taşlıtepe was pulled from the water shortly after with the help of bystanders and, following initial intervention by 112 Emergency Health teams, was taken to the Ondokuz Mayıs University Health Practice and Research Center.

For father Abdullah Taşlıtepe, search and rescue operations were launched by police divers from the Samsun Police Department's Sea Port Underwater Group Command and coast guard teams.

LIFELESS BODY FOUND UNDER BREAKWATER

The body of Taşlıtepe (48) was found by lifeguard teams at the base of the breakwaters near the location where they had entered the sea. 

The body, which was identified by the teams, was taken to the Council of Forensic Medicine Samsun Group Presidency for an autopsy. 

The treatment of Taşlıtepe's son, Davut Taşlıtepe, who was at risk of drowning, continues in intensive care at the Ondokuz Mayıs University Health Practice and Research Center due to respiratory failure.
