The expected rain news for Istanbul has arrived: Thunderstorms are on the way

While Istanbul has been struggling with unaccustomed extreme heat recently, the long-awaited news of rain has finally arrived from the General Directorate of Meteorology.

Thunderstorms are expected in the city for two days in the coming days. The precipitation will be particularly effective on Wednesday, July 30, and Friday, August 1.

TEMPERATURES WILL DROP

According to the forecasts made by the MGM, the air temperature in Istanbul will reach 35 degrees on Monday, July 28. In the following days of the week, the temperature will hover between 31 and 34 degrees. However, the humidity level rising up to 94% will cause the felt temperature to be even higher.

RAIN IS COMING

The General Directorate of Meteorology announced that in addition to the temperatures in Istanbul, it expects thunderstorms in some parts of the city on Wednesday, July 30, and Friday, August 1.

While the highest temperature on Wednesday will be around 32 degrees, this temperature will drop to 31 degrees on Friday. It is estimated that the precipitation will be effective throughout these two days, with more intense downpours expected, especially during the evening hours.
