According to data from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the EIA process has been initiated for 537 projects in the last 20 days.

Of these, 190 were new mining sites. Approval was also granted for 89 separate projects. It was announced that 212 new mining sites would be put out to tender. It has been alleged that the Küre Mountains National Park, on the borders of Kastamonu and Bartın, will also be opened to mining.

With a decision published in the Official Gazette under the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, 212 mining sites will be put out to tender.
