Forest fire in Antalya! Teams are responding to the blaze
Antalya Regional Directorate of Forestry teams are responding intensively to a forest fire that broke out in the Tekirova neighborhood of Kemer district.
A fire broke out in a forested area in the Tekirova neighborhood of Antalya's Kemer district. Antalya Regional Directorate of Forestry teams responded rapidly to the fire, which started for reasons yet to be determined.
While the fire is being fought with 4 fire trucks, 2 water supply vehicles, 2 initial response vehicles, and a large number of forestry workers, it was learned that the teams are making an intense effort to bring the flames under control.
Kemer District Governor Ahmet Solmaz stated that the fire is active in three spots, saying, "The flames have been brought under control in two spots, but the fire continues in one area. The wind in the region is making our work difficult, but we are about to bring it largely under control. The teams are continuing their intervention."
Solmaz also emphasized that there is no risk of the fire spreading to the ancient city of Phaselis. Authorities reported that efforts are ongoing to bring the fire completely under control.
