Forest fire in Bursa extinguished after 12-hour battle
A fire that broke out in a forested area in the İznik district of Bursa was brought under control after 12 hours.
The fire, which started around 16:00 in the pine forests between Tacir and Mecidiyeköy neighborhoods in Bursa's İznik district, grew rapidly.
Teams that had been battling the fire from the air and ground for over 12 hours managed to bring the flames under control.
A total of 85 vehicles and 302 personnel, including fire crews from the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, teams from the Regional Directorate of Forestry, and fire departments from surrounding districts, participated in the response.
