Governor's Office announces: Entry to forest areas prohibited

The Burdur Governor's Office has announced that entry to forest areas has been restricted due to the increased risk of fire caused by rising temperatures and drought during the summer months. The Governor's Office statement emphasized that human and vehicle movement could lead to forest fires.

In this context, in line with the decisions taken by the Burdur Provincial Forest Fire Fighting Commission and the circular of the Ministry of Interior, various measures have been taken to prevent fires in forest and rural areas within the provincial borders.

Between June 1 and November 1, 2025, entry to forest areas will only be permitted with the authorization of the competent authorities. Only officials, authorized beekeepers, and shepherds will be allowed to enter forest areas outside of forest parks, nature parks, and controlled daily-use areas.
